Sounds like a joke? Surely it is. You cannot explore Mallorca completely in five years. But for those who don't have enough time, but want to see the most from the island, we have created a Five Day Tour with our travel advice.
Our guests ask us the typical question of where can they go from Amena Mar Hotel? So imagine you are one of our guests who wants to see the island in this very short period. Here's the tour schedule for you:
Day 1. On the first day we recommend going to the north of Mallorca. You will take a road to Arta, pass the beautiful mountain road before entering a bigger motorway to Can Picafort, and from there you will drive along the biggest beach in Mallorca - playa de Muro. Stop on the way, go to the beach and take some pictures. We recommend a place where the channel with boats enters the sea, it is very picturesque. Then you will enter the resort of Alcudia, where some of the lakes can be nice to walk around. From there, turn to the side of Mal-Pas, you will be passing on the Alcudia peninsula with a wonderful road directly to the monastery. As you reach the monastery, go out, take some drinks and look down. In front you will se the bay of Pollenca and Formentor, the biggest and the highest mountain range in Mallorca. As you go back from Mal-Pas, stop by the playa of S'Illot: you can take plenty of free Mallorcan salt from there:)

Cala Figuera, Formentor
Then try to park closer to the city centre of the old town of Alcudia. It is really beautiful and only pedestrian with those sandy rock narrow streets and local shops. Finally, from there you'll travel to Formentor, and just cross the whole peninsula from Mirador de Colomer to the Lighthouse. You'll stop by many places, take a lot of shots, you may even bathe in Playa de Formentor, Cala Figuera or Cala Murta, and the trip will be very picturesque and full of emotion. Sunset is amazing at the Formentor's lighthouse.
Day 2. This day is the continuation of your journey and a whole way from Sa Calobra to Soller. We advice taking some food with you, as the spots will be perfect for a picnic. The road to Sa Calobra requires a very good driver, it is not an easy route, but it is worth it. As you park in Sa Calobra, take a walk to the Torrent de Pareis, natural miracle where the tiny river flows into the sea separating high mountain rocks. You can also swim and jump from the rocks there.

Fornalutx
Then you'll take a beautiful road passing the two water reservoires in the mountains, a picturesque village of Fornalutx which is worth visiting and a half-an-hour walking around, and at the end of the day you'll arrive to Port Soller. Don't spend a lot of time on the promenade, although it is beautiful with all the yachts and cafes. Take a road to the left to the lighthouse, from where you'll be able to see the Port Soller like on a postcard. Sunsets are great there.

Day 3. On this day we advice going to the southern part of the island. To the south from us passing the Cuevas Drach in Portocristo which you can pay an hour visit in the morning when there are less queues, go to all the calas that fall into your taste. There are so many of them. But one that is a must is the Cala d'Or and the natural park Cala Mondrago. You can stop in Ses Salines and eat at amazing Cassai restaurant there, and go to the south to Es Trenc and Colonia Sant Jordi for some beach time. Sunsets are also very beautiful there.
Day 4. This day is already the time for some rest from the road and the perfect time for the nearby wonders, which is very nice promenade of resort town Cala Ratjada, and its two great calas - Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla. In Cala Mesquida, which is our favorite one, we advice not only to enjoy the beach, but also to take the road in the dunes and reach the end of the beach, from where looking at the wild goats you can get up into the mountains and enjoy the walk. Rocks are extremely beautiful there and you can have a nice picnic.

Cala Mesquida
Day 5. One cannot be in Mallorca without seeing its capital, Palma de Mallorca. So the last day of our proposed tour is devoted to Palma for which we have a separate post with out advice for walking tours (link here). Beside Palma, if you have time left, go to the far west of the island to the town El Toro and reach that very narrow with the same name at the end of the town facing the sea. That is the peninsula that you will also be able to see as you take off on your airplane from Palma Bay. It is great natural spot, too. On the way back you can also spot some beautiful yachts at Port Adriano where everyone has free access.
